2024 SPAR Group YES for Youth Learnership Programme

SPAR Group Ltd SA understands how important it is for our country’s development to enable the youth with work opportunities. SPAR, in partnership with YES for Youth, has set out to offer youth a premium work experience program designed to enable them to reach their full career potential. As an implementation partner for SPAR SA, Catalyx invites the young people who are not working to apply for the twelve-month work experience, all underwritten by YES for Youth. Also, the SPAR/YES/CatalyX programme does not require you to pay anything to register.

Duties and Responsibilities

The minimum wage for interns and continuous personal development training and coaching are valid. SPAR’s reason for existing is “to inspire people to do more and be more,” and we breathe our business values of Family, Entrepreneurship, and Passion by building a culture where the development of our people takes precedence.

Requirements

• Must be a South African Citizen
• Must be 18 – 28 years old
• Currently unemployed and NOT studying full-time
• Passed Matric and with the relevant Tertiary Qualification (Undergraduate Degree)
• Clear criminal record
• Should NOT have participated in YES previously.
• Be able to commit to the 12-month work program (1 April 2024– 31 March 2025)

Looking for candidates with completed tertiary qualifications specified below:

Finance

• Degree in Financial Management / Cost and Management Accounting

Marketing

• Degree in Retail Management / Business Management / Supply Chain Management (you will be in the field of buying, negotiating, promotions, and stock planning. Strong financial acumen is essential)

Information Technology

• Degree in Project Management (focus on Computer Skills / Business Analytics / Retail Systems Specialist / Customer Liaison). Driver’s License an advantage
• Specialized A & N and MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) (Network Systems / Project Management / SAP and Training)

Warehouse / Logistics

• Degree in Supply Chain Management
• Degree in Freight Logistics Management
• Degree in Road Transport Management
• Degree in Project Management
• Degree in Consumer Science: Food and Nutrition / Biochemistry
• Degree in Quality Control: Food Technology / Microbiology

Risk / Quality

• Degree in Environmental Health
• Degree in Safety Management / Quality Assurance
