Taiwan International Internship Program 2024

Taiwan International Internship Program provides on a fully funded basis an international students internship. The program is at Academia Sinica and its partner universities. The intern will receive half-way round airfare tickets of up to $500, stipend per month, accommodation, and health coverage. Please refrain from applying if you are a student in the process of obtaining a Ph.D. degree program.

Students who are currently completing their undergraduate studies, enrolled in their Master’s degree, or have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree certificate are eligible to apply for the TIIP Internship. Financial Benefits

The TIIP Interns include:

• A monthly stipend of $1000
• On-campus accommodation
• One-way airfare to Taipei (up to $500)
• Medical care and support
• Opportunity for hands-on training and learning the Chinese language
• No application fee is required for the internship program.

Eligibility:

• Undergraduate students in their final year
• Master’s students
• Individuals holding a B.S. or Master’s degree

Who is not Eligible:

• Students pursuing a Ph.D. degree program
• Students/Individuals who have attended the TIIP program before
• Current employees or research assistants at Academia Sinica

Internship Duration:

• 2 months
• 1st cohort: May 1st – June 30th
• 2nd cohort: June 1st – July 31st
• 3rd cohort: July 1st – August 31st

Required Documents:

• Completed CV and Statement of Purpose on the research interests page.
• Official academic transcript on the current Status of Applicant page.
• Completion of all required information on the online application form.
• Two letters of recommendation.
• English proficiency tests such as TOEFL and IELTS are not compulsory.
