There are various scholarships announced each year around the world and in order to secure one with a low CGPA, you will need a strategic plan that presents you as a far better candidate than your CGPA. I have seen many students with a low CGPA securing scholarships in the past few years.

- Gain Professional Work Experience: Your first step is to get as much professional work experience in your field before starting the scholarship process.
- Craft an Impactful Statement of Purpose (SOP): The next part of the application process is the Statement of Purpose . Specifically about your factors that contributed to your low CGPA. Highlight the situation and circumstance behind your GPA and what changes you make or deserve to be selected. Prepare a strong statement of purpose. Then show it to your friends, siblings, teachers or anyone who knows your background for a review.
- Secure Strong Reference Letters: Applications for admission or scholarships usually require at least two or a maximum of three reference letters, also known as recommendation letters. Be honest to your referee about your low CGPA. Feel free to show your badge where you want to demonstrate other areas, such as your academic achievements, awards and prizes, leadership skills, creativity, languages, and any other skills that are important to your bid.
- Prepare for Interviews: If you have an interview as part of the application process, be honest and forthcoming about your reasons for your low GPA. Clearly define your professional and personal goals and with a smile show your enthusiasm and positivity. Make sure you like to register and say why they are putting on this university or campus.
- Take English Language Tests: If the application process involves language proficiency tests such as IELTS/TOEFL or IELTS/TOEFL tests is underway in the United States, GRE or GMAT can significantly increase your work experience. Especially when you have a low CGPA.
