2024 Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Programme for International Students in a Master’s and PhD Degree
The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship * GOI-IES * programme is an established national initiative that supports high-performing global students studying master’s or PhD levels in a variety of fields within Ireland. It is funded by the Higher Education Authority and sponsored by the Government of Ireland. In association with participating Irish higher education institutions, a sixty-total prize one-year full-time master’s or PhD study Colonial Soil goes on offer every year. The programme is available to foreign applicants from every area.

Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be qualified for a Government of Ireland International education scholarship:
- Candidates are only eligible to apply if they are domiciliary of origin outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland/United Kingdom.
- Candidates may submit applications to the university or PhD programme of an eligible higher education institution to which they have or may apply for admission, adhering to the institution’s entrance rules.
- Applicants must have obtained admission to a higher education institution at the time of application and must submit a copy of their offer letter. Full-time enrollment for non-EU pupils must be verified.
How to Apply:
Prospective candidates are encouraged to fully examine the call documentation to confirm their eligibility. An indicative version of the submission form is available for information only. All applications must be submitted through the online portal.
- Submission: Applications must be submitted on the page set up for applications by the deadline provided on the application page.
- References: All applications must contain two references, which should be submitted through the online portal.
- Submit Articles: Candidates are strongly recommended to send their applications well in advance of the submission deadline to prevent sending applications in at the last minute due to server congestion.
- Deadline: Applications should be refused at the stated deadline. Once this deadline has passed, we are unable to submit more applications, and if an application has already been sent, we cannot modify it.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Academic Accomplishment: Marks of academic excellence, particularly in academics, are noted.
- Communications: Proof of incredible communication accomplishments.
- Extra Commitments: Demonstrations of extra-curricular research – grants of humanitarianism including student life, political roles, arts, and athletics.
- Study Rationale: Explanations must be provided for the student’s preference for study in Ireland and their membership in the program.
Timeline:
Applications Deadline: 5 pm on the 13th of March 2024 from Irish time.
Decision: the Judge’s decision will be published late May/early June 2024.
