    GOVERNMENT OF IRELAND INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAMME 2024 (GOI-IES)

    2024 Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Programme for International Students in a Master’s and PhD Degree

    The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship * GOI-IES * programme is an established national initiative that supports high-performing global students studying master’s or PhD levels in a variety of fields within Ireland. It is funded by the Higher Education Authority and sponsored by the Government of Ireland. In association with participating Irish higher education institutions, a sixty-total prize one-year full-time master’s or PhD study Colonial Soil goes on offer every year. The programme is available to foreign applicants from every area.

    Eligibility:

    Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to be qualified for a Government of Ireland International education scholarship:

    • Candidates are only eligible to apply if they are domiciliary of origin outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland/United Kingdom.
    • Candidates may submit applications to the university or PhD programme of an eligible higher education institution to which they have or may apply for admission, adhering to the institution’s entrance rules.
    • Applicants must have obtained admission to a higher education institution at the time of application and must submit a copy of their offer letter. Full-time enrollment for non-EU pupils must be verified.

    How to Apply:

    Prospective candidates are encouraged to fully examine the call documentation to confirm their eligibility. An indicative version of the submission form is available for information only. All applications must be submitted through the online portal.

    • Submission: Applications must be submitted on the page set up for applications by the deadline provided on the application page.
    • References: All applications must contain two references, which should be submitted through the online portal.
    • Submit Articles: Candidates are strongly recommended to send their applications well in advance of the submission deadline to prevent sending applications in at the last minute due to server congestion.
    • Deadline: Applications should be refused at the stated deadline. Once this deadline has passed, we are unable to submit more applications, and if an application has already been sent, we cannot modify it.

    Evaluation Criteria:

    • Academic Accomplishment: Marks of academic excellence, particularly in academics, are noted.
    • Communications: Proof of incredible communication accomplishments.
    • Extra Commitments: Demonstrations of extra-curricular research – grants of humanitarianism including student life, political roles, arts, and athletics.
    • Study Rationale: Explanations must be provided for the student’s preference for study in Ireland and their membership in the program.

    Timeline:

    Applications Deadline: 5 pm on the 13th of March 2024 from Irish time.

    Decision: the Judge’s decision will be published late May/early June 2024.

    ABSIP-STANLIB BURSARY PROGRAMME 2024 FOR YOUNG SOUTH AFRICANS.

    2024 ABSIP-STANLIB Bursary Programme: Financial Support for Investment Management Careers

    2024 ABSIP-STANLIB Bursary Programme is a call for applications at present. The ABSIP National Executive Committee is pleased to hereby announce the opening for applications for the 2024 STANLIB Bursary, through the ABSIP Bursary Fund.

    STANLIB, in partnership with ABSIP, will financially support historically disadvantaged students as defined by the B-BBEE Act. This opportunity is reserved for people who are best qualified to seek employment in Investment Management.

    Universities:

    Bursaries will be provided to individuals studying towards a qualification with which one will find a genuine career path in Investment Management at the following universities:

    Bursary Candidates:

    Bursaries will be awarded to individuals with an aspiration to work in financial services, with a particular bias to students registered for Bachelor of Business Science, Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science . Preference will be given to students enrolled in BCOM Economics, Business Finance and Investment Management, BSC in Mathematics and Statistics and BCOM Financial analysis.

    One must be a full-time student with no permanent work Experience is permanent (vacation work is acceptable). The bursary will be renewed an annual basis subject to one’s academic performance and the availability of funds.

    Bursary’s Benefits

    • Stipend determined by financial need

    Eligibility Criteria:

    Candidates must meet the following requirements:

    • Exceptional academic performance with an average of 75% in the core modules/subjects.
    • Optional but preferable if the candidate can demonstrate leadership skills and participation in extramural activities such as sports, debating, and chess clubs.
    • The bursary is only awarded to candidates who can demonstrate financial need.
    • Must be a full-time black student as defined by the BBBEE Act, studying or studying towards qualifications offered at the aforementioned universities.

      Applicants need to submit a single-page motivation letter explaining why they are applying for the bursary and studying towards an Investment qualification.

    WORLD BANK SUMMER INTERNSHIP 2024

    World Bank Summer Internship Program 2024: Fully Funded in Washington D.C, USA

    The World Bank is excited to announce applications for its Summer Internship Program 2024. The program will be held in the United States and is open to students from all countries to apply. The fully-funded internship is available to both Masters and PhD students. The venue for the program will be the World Bank Headquarters in Washington D.C. starting from May to September 2024. In addition to this, there is another Fully Funded opportunity SBW Berlin International Scholarships 2024-25 in Germany.

    The WB Winter Internship applicant’s status can be from any educational background. Additionally, there is no age limit. The program does not require an English Language certificate, but it demands fluency in English. The minimum duration of the internship is 4 weeks.     Financial Benefits of WB Summer Internship :

    Interns are paid by the hour at WB. After consultation with the manager, a travel allowance of no more than USD 3,000 shall be paid to interns only if deemed appropriate. This allowance is solely for transportation costs and covers the cost of round-trip airfare to or from the duty station city. Interns are responsible for their own accommodation. The majority of intern positions are in WB’s country offices in Washington, DC – occasionally in a few exceptional situations as business requirements dictate. A minimum of four weeks is the general length of the internship.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    Position requires an undergraduate degree and is currently enrolled in an entire-time graduate study program with the goal of enrolling in a master’s or PhD program as a full-time student following the summer internship. The maximum age for the internship is not specified.     Therefore, the application can only be submitted if all required documents are uploaded, including the responses to the questions (those with * asterisks). The application should be completed within 90 minutes to prevent the system from timing out. In the phone number section, it is advisable to fill in the entire sequence (Country + City + Number), and no peculiar characters such as â-<>&#â, etc., are allowed to be used in the application fields.
