Call for applications for the Africa Oxford Initiative 2024/2025 Visiting Fellowship Program. This opportunity is seeking leading African academics and researchers who can make a significant contribution to both their own department and the AFOx Institute.It is pleased to invite applications to the AfOx Visiting Fellows Programme.

Program Description:

The AFOx Visiting Fellowship Programme enable exceptional researchers from across Africa to make early career accomplishments or Indian scholars to concentrate on any research project of their choice. The AfOx Visiting Fellows will also work closely with the scholars at University of Oxford for a period of twelve months from October to start to July. This will be conducted online for ten months, and in May and June people are requested to visit the UK for a period of two months.

Requirements:

AfOx fellowships welcome researchers from all disciplines represented across the University of Oxford’s departments.

Benefits:

The AfOx Fellow spends two unforgettable months in Oxford as an affiliated member of the University of Oxford for a total of 12 months. The Fellow spends two intense months in Oxford engaged scheme and the vibrant academic environment of one of the world’s top universities during the Trinity term in May and June .

The second month of September focusing on return Intensive collaboration, networking and immersion include comprehensive logistical support such as visa application processes, accommodation, airfare, maintenance allowance for own expenses, visa fee, temporary University card and orientation, by the AfOx.

Application Process:

An Oxford-based researcher “called” as their collaborator in the application.All applications need a letter of support from a host at the University of Oxford. All applicants based at African Universities are advised to contact potential collaborators at the University of Oxford to co-develop the applicant’s proposed project and agree on project timelines prior to application.
