Founded in 1985, ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development is the financial arm of the Economic Community of West African States . EBID is an international financial institution, uniting the 15 ECOWAS Member States: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo. The bank is located in the capital of Togolese Republic – Lomé.
EBID Mission
Its mission is to create enabling conditions for the emergence of a strong, industrialized, prosperous, and well-integrated West Africa. For EBID, attaining synergies and forming one single unit internally and externally has implications for integration into the global economic system, taking advantage of the processes that come with globalization . Young Graduate Recruitment Program
ECOWAS and Her Associate institutions have implemented ECOWAS Young Graduate Program to respectively hire young graduates from universities and prestigious institutions in the West African sub-region and the diaspora. The program will have the pace at EBID in recruiting young, highly qualified graduates no older than thirty years old at the time of recruitment. The selected candidates will be offered a two-year fixed-term contract CDD at the Bank – as young executives in training. The first six – month will be considered a probation period. This fixed-term contract career opportunity will allow the candidate to understand how affairs calling in different functional areas & offices of EBID operates, integrate into the place where he/she joins, and be part of the teams that are working to achieve the Bank’s mission.

Candidate Profile
Applicants who wish to apply for this program must meet the following conditions:
- Age: Be 30 years old or less at the time of recruitment.
- Education: Have a diploma at least equivalent to higher education, smaller long cycle, i.e., four years after the baccalaureate and five years bac +5, for example MASTER, or an equivalent diploma. Diplomas should correspond to the operations of the Bank, especially the following, private sector operations, public sector operations, infrastructure, risk management, asset/liability management, finance, auditing, legal advice, communications and marketing, language services, or any other subject relating to the operations of the Bank.
- Teamwork: Ability to work in a team and in a multicultural environment.
- Analysis – Organization: Capacity for synthesis and organization and a sense of planning and priorities.
- Research: Ability to operate sophisticated information searching systems, including bank analysis, statistics, and comparative analysis as well as competent research skills on the world-wide web.
- Use of Office Tools: Good command of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point.
- Language: Excellent oral (presentation) and written communication skills either in French and/or English or/and Portuguese, and a good working knowledge of the other language.
Benefits
Young graduates selected for this program will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Salary Adjustments: Other various allowances will be added to the salary under the grade, which entails the following; Position adjustment, Housing and transport allowances, and Family allowances if applicable.
- Retirement Fund Affiliation: The participant shall be affiliated with the Bank’s retirement fund for financial safety in the future.
- Group Insurance coverage: Throughout the appointment, they will be covered by a group insurance policy, ensuring complete protection against the following risks; Death, Permanent total and definitive disability, Temporary incapacity for work, partial permanent disability, illness, and individual accidents.
